In the heart of a lush, green jungle, two little monkeys named Miko and Mali lived high up in the trees with their family. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the air smelled like ripe bananas. But today, something was different.
A strong wind had blown through the forest last night, and the tall branches where Miko and Mali usually played were now shaking and swaying in the breeze. Leaves rustled loudly, and the once-familiar jungle seemed big and scary. Miko, the older brother with a mischievous smile, clung tightly to a tree trunk. Mali, his little sister with big brown eyes, held her favorite leaf like a blanket and looked around nervously.
“I don’t like this wind,” Mali whispered.
“Me neither,” Miko admitted, trying to sound brave.
The two huddled close together, their little tails curling for comfort. They missed the calm mornings when they’d swing freely and laugh as the sun tickled their fur. Now, everything felt unfamiliar and loud.
Suddenly, a rustle came from the trees above. Miko and Mali froze. But then, a familiar voice called out, deep and gentle.
“Miko? Mali? Where are you, little ones?”
“Daddy!” they cried in unison.
Down swung their father, a strong, kind monkey with wise eyes and a warm smile. He landed softly beside them and opened his arms wide. Without hesitation, Miko and Mali rushed into his embrace.
“I was looking all over for you,” Daddy Monkey said, pulling them close. “Are you two alright?”
“We were scared,” Mali sniffled. “The wind is loud.”
“And the trees feel wobbly,” Miko added.
Daddy Monkey gently stroked their heads. “It’s alright to be scared sometimes,” he said. “The jungle can be noisy, and the wind can feel wild. But no matter what, I’ll always be here to keep you safe.”
Wrapped in their father’s arms, Miko and Mali began to calm down. The wind still whistled through the leaves, but it didn’t seem so frightening anymore. With Daddy holding them close, the jungle didn’t feel so big.
“Do you want to hear a story?” Daddy asked.
“Yes!” they chirped.
So, there under the big fig tree, Daddy Monkey told them tales of brave jungle explorers, clever monkeys who outwitted crocodiles, and the magic of the moonlight in the treetops. As he spoke, Miko and Mali’s eyes grew heavy.
